My new life

I am terrible with updating my blog, sorry about that. Can't promise anything, though I will try to improve in this area.

It is almost 3 months as I have been living and working in UK, in the cosy Chentenham town.
Work is great, the more I get to know the more I like it, I think I will stick in finance area for a while.

When I just came to UK it was a bit hard to get used to the new life style - as my dad would say the normal one, when you finish your job at about 5pm, go home have dinner and relax, you do not have any other commitments after working hours. Which is so different from what I was used to, while being in AIESEC you are always on duty it might be a midnight, or a Sunday afternoon, the duty I really liked, I do miss that sometimes. I had to learn how to utilize the free time, and how to really enjoy it. I have signed in for the gym, started to play netball in Kraft ladies team, signed in for the gym, read more.. I do like it, you have more time think. :)

I have settled down in a really nice house, which is about 10 min walk from work, and about 15min from centre, which is great, no need to use public transport. I am sharing a house with 3 other people, Sara (she is Swedish), Andy and Dan (both guys are local), we get on really well, which I am very happy about.
Winter is coming here very fast, we do have about minus 6 degrees during the night, and about 3 plus during the day. I don't mind if it is cold as long as it is dry. And we do have a central heating, oh it is amazing how much you can miss these things (this is remembering cold nights with the hot watter bottle in NZ).

See few pictures below from the trip to London when my sister Laura was vising me.

Hey Giedre!! Life's looking good ^^ i'm glad there's central heating where you are. I'm still trying to imagine what it would feel like... I've never been in a house with that before! Haha =D

Gosh! God bless central heating!!! As much as I love New Zealand I find it inhuman that in this climat they don't have proper houses (made of brick I mean!) and proper heating!
Amy (and other inhabitants of 100 Kelburn Pde, Wellington) - you're always invited to experience European living conditions:)))

Listen to this! I can't believe this central heating conversation still goes on so long after you people leave us! ;)

I am yet to meet someone from Europe who didn't complain about central heating during their stay. :)

Giedrulka it's awesome to see photos of you. :)
